Christmas in Iraq's Mosul

Christians there celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ for the first time in years

It's the first time since the defeat of so called Islamic State in July that Christians have been able to celebrate one of their most holy festivals - Christmas. It was presided over by Patriarch Louis Raphael Sako of Iraq's Chaldean Catholic Church, in Mosul.

A senior official from the UN refugee agency, Volker Turk, has expressed doubts as to whether the proposed timetable for the return of Rohingya refugees to Myanmar is realistic. The first repatriations, under an agreement between Bangladesh and Myanmar, are due to start in January.

And we also speak to an Afghan female film-maker who grew up as a young girl under the Taliban.
