Composition: Wales

The following composers and scores will be featured in a Culmination Concert on Wednesday 1 April 2015 at 7pm in BBC Hoddinott Hall in the running order below:

• Nicholas Mills Exploration

After inviting score submissions, 8 composers joined Resident Composer, Mark Bowden, Composer-in-Association, B Tommy Andersson, and conductor Jac Van Steen for workshops as part of Composition:Wales 2015.

• Nathan James Dearden Hafan: Diptych For Large Orchestra (movement 1)
• Jordan Hirst Sandman Dreams

These works will be performed in workshops with BBC National Orchestra of Wales at BBC Hoddinott Hall, on:

• Wednesday 11 February 2015 (1pm-4pm, 5pm-8pm)
• Tuesday 31 March 2015 (2pm-5pm, 6pm-9pm)
• Wednesday 1 April 2015 (2.30pm-5.30pm)

A number of these pieces will then be selected to be performed at a free Culmination Concert at BBC Hoddinott Hall, on Wednesday 1 April at 7pm.
