28 year old Leanne Powell (played by Joanna Page) is originally from Wales and started working at the store when she moved up north to make a new start.
She joined the syndicate and quickly made good friends at the store including Stuart and Denise.
Although friendly with her co-workers Leanne keeps herself to herself and is vehemently protective over her young daughter Stacey, with whom she lives in a small high rise council flat. When the lottery win happens Leanne is reluctant to announce herself to the press; she seems to be hiding from someone or something….
