Motsi Mabuse

Hailing from Pretoria, South Africa, Judge Motsi Mabuse has been dancing for most of her life. As a young adult, she studied law at the University of Pretoria, but couldn't keep away from her passion for too long and soon shifted her attention to Ballroom and Latin dancing.

Little did she know this decision would change her life, soon competing at championships around the world, including in the UK and Germany - a country she would later call home.

In 2007, Motsi joined the cast of the German version of Strictly called Let's Dance, finishing in fifth and sixth place with her celebrity partners across two series. In 2011 she was invited to become a Judge on the show and continues to sit on the panel to this very day.

It was there she caught the eyes of Strictly, becoming a Judge on our glittering panel in 2019 - and we're sure you'll agree, it wouldn't be the same without her!
