Catherine Tate

Catherine rose to fame in her smash-hit BBC Two comedy series The Catherine Tate Show in 2004, which received six BAFTA nominations, an Emmy nomination and originated some of the nation’s best loved characters including Lauren ‘am I bovvered?’ Cooper, The Aga Saga Woman and Joannie ‘Nan’ Taylor. The latter received her own spin off show, the BAFTA-nominated Catherine Tate’s Nan which aired on BBC One in 2014.

Her performance as the Donna Noble in the fourth series of Doctor Who was described by the Radio Times as “one of the funniest companions of New Who” and she was voted the second best ‘Doctor’s Companion’ of all time in Doctor Who Magazine.

No stranger to the world of Shakespeare, Catherine played Beatrice to David Tennant’s Benedict in Sonia Friedman’s West End production of 'Much Ado About Nothing' at the Wyndham’s Theatre in 2011 and joined the RSC in 2000.
