Sian Williams

Sian Williams is a journalist and TV presenter who studied English and History at University.

She began her career in broadcasting 26 years ago, and following stints in Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester, spent five years at BBC Radio Merseyside as a reporter and producer. She moved to Radio 4 in 1991 as an output editor on The World at One and in 1997, took a job at BBC News 24 (now the BBC News channel), where she was moved from a senior production role, to presenting. After a couple of years, she left to be the Special Correspondent on the BBC News at Six, before joining BBC Breakfast, which she presented for eleven years. She is the new co-host of R4's Saturday Live, is a key member of BBC1's newsreading team and is a presenter for the BBC's live coverage of the Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games.
