Carbide was runner up in series one and is back with upgraded internals and more pushing power than most other robots in the competition. The robot is electric driven with an upgraded clutch assembly capable of taking twice as much force as previously, and a brand new custom made weapon motor.

Dave won the UK robot heavyweight title at the age of 17 and Sam grew up making electric go karts in his shed. Dave and Sam met while competing against each other; they both built the two most destructive robots in recent history, so they decided to collaborate to make something even more deadly. Carbide took three months to build at a cost of £5,000 and can smash an engine block in half with one hit.
