Tickets - Full Rules

Rules and regulations governing the ticket registration and application process for BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend 2012

Only one application per person is permitted and we do not allow multiple registrations using the same email address. If you share an email address with another person who has already registered you will need to use an alternative account.

Checks to identify multiple registrations will be undertaken throughout the whole process and any entries which do not adhere to these rules and regulations will be removed and any associated tickets may be cancelled.

Only UK, Isle of Man and Channel Island residents can register for tickets and those applying must use their main residential address. Registration is not open to overseas listeners.

Tickets (unless for under 10s) will include photographs and are strictly non-transferable. Applicants will need to upload a passport styled photograph during registration and risk being denied entry to the event on the day if their face is not clearly visible.

Tickets may not be sold, traded, or offered for sale; and may not be used as a prize or for any other promotional or trade purpose by any organisation except the BBC.

Only those who will be 16 or over by 23 June will be able to register themselves and book tickets. Under-16s can still attend the event, but will need to be registered by someone who is 18 or over; and will need to be accompanied to the event by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

Only those who have registered during Stage 1 of the process will be able to book tickets during Stage 2. Any friend and guest you wish to take with you will also need to have registered.

A handling fee of £2.50 per ticket will be applied to help cover all associated ticket handling costs. This will be non-refundable, whether the ticket is used or not, even in the unlikely circumstance that the event itself has to be cancelled.

During the booking process, you will be able to apply for two tickets - one for you and one for a friend.

You may also apply for tickets on behalf of others, if they do not have a debit or credit card for example, but you must use their registration numbers - tickets cannot be booked in your name and then given to someone else. Note, tickets will be sent to the address of the first person listed in the application and that they must be at least 16 years old (or at least 18 if the second applicant is under 15).

Up to 50% of the tickets will be reserved for those in the London Borough of Hackney wanting to attend the event and their accompanying guests; with up to a further 15% reserved for those from the other five designated Olympic boroughs - Barking and Dagenham, Greenwich, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest - and their guests. A minimum of 35% of tickets will be available to anyone in the UK.

The address of the first person given on the booking application will be the address used to determine eligibility for any tickets reserved for those from the London Borough of Hackney or the other Olympic boroughs. It does not matter where the second person comes from.

Tickets are limited to one per person. Once a ticket has been allocated to you (either via your own booking, or because you have been included as someone's guest), you will be unable to get further tickets.

The BBC, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any registration or ticket application being lost or not properly registered or recorded.

The BBC does not accept any responsibility for late or lost applications. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

Entrants must supply full details as required and comply with all rules and regulations to be eligible for a ticket. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible applications, or applications made fraudulently.
