Minnie Mude

Minnie is Dorcas' hopeless housemaid, lazy, dreamy and utterly unreliable. But she is also loveable and has a desperate need to belong. Minnie finally has a home and a surrogate family at the Post Office, but something more as well: there is a man in her life, in the shape of Alf.

Ruby has appeared in Lost in Austen, New Tricks and Oliver Twist. Ruby's parents are both actors. Her father, Paul Bentall, has been in Silent Witness and her mother, Janine Duvitski, played Angela in Abigail's Party.
