How much screen time is too much?
Parents are being asked to offer the government evidence on what healthy screen use looks like for children. A three-week public consultation is in place - before ministers give guidance for the first time on the issue.
Tess Burgess is Shropshire's lead for Smartphone Free Childhood and says it is important the government are finally taking action.
"A smart phone is essentially a super computer where the whole world has access to your child" Tess told BBC Radio Shropshire's Adam Green.
