Showstopper cake to celebrate Sir David's 100th
A 4-tier showstopper cake is being created at the University of Leicester to celebrate the 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough on Friday 8th May.
The elaborate cake is being made by two of Leicestershire's 'Great British Bake Off' contestants - Rahul Mandal, who won the Channel 4 programme in 2018, and Josh Smalley, a finalist in 2023.
Sir David grew up on the campus of the University from the age of 5, as his father, Frederick Attenborough was appointed as the second Principal of University College, Leicester.
Josh told BBC Leicester's Chance Litchfield what will be involved.
