Talking Movies meets 'Sentimental Value' director Joachim Trier

Sentimental Value is the first film from Norway to have earned a Best Picture Academy Award nomination. It's directed by Norwegian-Dansh filmmaker Joachim Trier.

The film, which has nine Oscar nominations in total, stars Swedish actor Stellan SkarsgÄrd as a director father trying to reclaim his former glory as he struggles to confront estrangement within his family. It has won multiple accolades during awards season, including a BAFTA for Best Film Not in the English Language, and six European Film Awards.

Tom Book caught up with Joachim Trier for BBC Talking Movies in Berlin.
