Stabbing: The second tragedy for our Nigerian community
On the 12 September last year, Uchechukwu Haniel Kanu – a Nigerian student, was attacked on Leicester's Melton Road. With the support of the local Nigerian community he’s still recovering in hospital.
Now that community are also gathering in support of the family and friends of Khaleed Oladipo, a student, stabbed close to De Montfort University on Tuesday the 3rd of February this year, who died in hospital on Tuesday evening after he was stabbed in Oxford Street in the city.
An 18-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of his murder, remains in police custody and extensive inquiries are being carried out.
