Travel costs could scupper Tokyo Marathon dream
A father and daughter racing team from Atherstone say their chances of taking part in next month's Tokyo Marathon are looking impossible.
Stephan and his daughter Chloe have been taking part in 10ks and marathons across the UK and the world while raising money for a number of charities.
But Chloe's severe disabilities have meant their dream trip to Japan might not happen.
In a statement, ANA Airways, the Japanese national airline that Stephan had already contacted about flights, said, "While we truly admire their commitment, we receive a high volume of requests of this nature and, regrettably, we are unable to support all of them."
Stephan said he received a similar response from British Airways and is trying to do whatever he can to get them to Tokyo.
