The Medieval manuscript
A manuscript kept for centuries at Shrewsbury School has been identified as the original version of one of medieval England’s most widely read books.
The 14th‑century text contains the only complete copy of The Emending of Life by hermit‑writer Richard Rolle. In his day his work is said to have outsold Geoffrey Chaucer.
BBC Radio Shropshire's Richard Tisdale has been finding out more from the schools archivist, Naomi Nicholas.
