Should Coventry charge a Tourist Tax?
Should Coventry charge a Tourist Tax? It's something Coventry councillors have been debating after the government announced in the budget that it could give regional mayors the power to introduce an "overnight visitor levy".
The Leader of Coventry Conservatives, Cllr Gary Ridley, believes it could deter visitors and harm the local visitor economy, whilst Labour's Cllr Jim O'Boyle, the cabinet member for business, accused the Tories of "scaremongering".
BBC CWR's Phil Upton takes you through the story and talks to local hospitality buisness owner Rick Rick Cressman.
