From novice to gold medal winner in just 4 years

Karl Haines from Tile Hill is a gold medal winning para sailor with Team GB. He learnt to sail just four years ago at Draycote Water and has very quickly risen to the top. Karl was part of Team GB at the World Sailing Inclusion Championships in Oman at the end of 2025, where he came home with the gold. Karl spoke to BBC CWR's Vic Minett about his journey.
