In a bizarre online spat with Children's Author Michael Rosen, the TV presenter Kirsty Allsopp said 'People have to stop taking things they do not need, it is wrong and it is bankrupting our country.'
In London, the Freedom Pass allows people over pension age to access public transport for free. There's also an over-60s Oyster Card. This social media spat has sparked fresh discussion about the affordability and fairness of these schemes.
