Meet the boy running 25k before school for charity

An eight-year-old from Scraptoft has challenged himself to run a total of 25km in aid of Children in Need.

It has meant an early start to the day all this week for Andre, who had to complete his daily 5k run before going to school.

On Friday morning he finished his 25 km challenge, and has so far raised over 3 thousand pounds for Children in Need.

Andre and his Mum spoke to BBC Leicester's Hannah Meredith after being cheered over the finish line by his family and school friends.
