Neston's miners remembered

From pit to sculpture, remembering the town’s coal mining legacy.

Did you know that Neston on the Cheshire/Wirral border was a former mining village? The mine there was in use from 1759 to 1927, and over that time, a number of coal miners died, doing what back then was a very dangerous job. To commemorate those who died, a special new sculpture has been unveiled depicting three miners heading to work. BBC Radio Merseyside's Louisa King went along to the unveiling to find out more
