Get to know: The Straze
The Shrewsbury band making music for fans of massive riffs and utterly addictive high-voltage sounds. They say they bring a slice of Guns & Roses and Bon Jovi to an auto-tuned world.
Lead singer Tommy became infatuated with guitars when on the way back from primary school, his dad played him Alice Cooper on a cassette in the car. No wonder that, a little over a decade later, they’re playing week-in week-out, strutting their stuff in flared jeans, big heels, leather jackets and leopard print shirts!
There’s Jake on bass, Jack on guitar and Alex on drums, captivating audience all over, complete with sing-a-long choruses and hands-and-beer-in-the-air-moments.
Writing about the thrill of feeling alive, taking on the world, the rush of desire and living on the edge – from Shrewsbury, they are The Straze.
