Arrested Palestinian journalist innocent, says son
The son of prominent Palestinian journalist Ali al-Samoudi has denied that his father is linked to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad organisation and of transferring funds to it.
Ali al-Samoudi, who has worked extensively with Western media, was detained during an Israeli raid on his son's home in the West Bank city of Jenin early on Tuesday.
Speaking to Weekend's Julian Worricker, Mohammed al-Samoudi said he did not know where his father was being held and appealed for international help to obtain his release.
