Worcestershire's tallest spire needs a face-lift
Huge restoration work is beginning on the striking St John's Church in Bromsgrove, to preserve this historic landmark.
The spire is the tallest in the county at 198ft up from the ground, with the nearly £400,000 work funded from the National Lottery and local donations. Rusting metal in the church's internal lightning rod caused cracks in the stonework of this 15th century building.
Sophie Millward reports, with Jo Slade from Friends of St John’s Church Bromsgrove .
