Brentwood new-build roof ‘misery’

Bellway Homes has apologised to the residents of a new build estate in Brentwood after a defective roof design led to years of issues with damp and black mould on walls and ceilings.

Homeowners say long-running remedial work has failed to address the problem and some are now considering legal action.

Bellway says it will put right any legitimate build defects as quickly as possible.
