The cost of being a leaseholder
A BBC investigation has revealed a 30% increase in the cost of service charges for leaseholders in the UK over the past five years.
For some residents in the East of England, their service charges have gone up even more than that.
Landlords and management companies say the increase to a yearly average of £2,321 is in line with the rise in the cost of living.
Phil Shepka has been hearing from people in Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire about the impact these rising bills and other leasehold issues have had on their lives.
