The Queen, The Dalai Lama, Muhammad Ali and...Peppa Pig with Brian Blessed

Actor Brian Blessed is this year's Surrey Day Ambassador. He's had a varied career and is famous for Flash Gordon (who can forget "Gordon's Alive"?), Z-Cars, Peppa Pig, and various turns in Shakespeare's plays, including with the Guildford Shakespeare Company. He's also an explorer who trained as a Cosmonaut and climbed Everest. Back home, he's lived in Chobham, Lightwater and Richmond; meditated with the Dalai Lama, sparred with Muhammad Ali and was once the Queen's favourite actor.
