Allotments, football and castles

  • Amy and driver Alan ready for Pirate Gold to get underway today..
  • Today they were starting at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field...
  • Jess and Alison were there to greet the team....
  • Amy also had a chat with Councillor Paul Redgate all about their 'Give It A Go' event...
  • Just time for driver Alan, Jess, Paul, Alison and Amy to have one last photo...then it was time to move on..
  • But where will clue one take them to?
  • Willoughby Road Allotments was the answer...
  • Considering the dry weather it doesn't look too bad....lots of green...
  • But where was the clue hiding?...
  • There it is!..
  • Katie had hidden it for Amy on the 'Mayflower' ship....
  • Driver Alan and Katie trying to solve the clue....
  • Do your allotments look this good?....
  • A glance back and it was time to move on again...
  • Where would clue 2 take them?
  • Lavinia had the answer as she had hidden the clue!
  • There was a charity football match taking place between Old Leake FC and the Burnley Shadow Youth Team (under 23s)...
  • 'What position does number 8 play in?' says Amy....
  • Chairman of Old Leake FC Pete Orrey didn't seem too impressed with Amy's match advice.....'try playing with more than 1 ball!
  • This is probably more sensible advice....
  • This could be the Pirate Gold mantra......
  • Where would the final clue take the team?....where would the treasure be hiding?....
  • Come on Amy....we think we know where you are going next....
  • This was the view at Old Bolingbroke...
  • The treasure was somewhere among the Knights to Remember, Back in Time event..
  • It wasn't on the remains of a wall....
  • It's a big site....would the team find the treasure in time?..
  • I wonder if Merlin (our car) was in the know?....
  • This looks promising.....
  • There it is! Amy found the treasure with 2 and a half minutes to spare ....what a win!
  • Amy enjoyed meeting Meg the dog and owner Jeanette .....
  • Nice to be serenaded by Jimmy Handax on his ukelee ....
  • Thank you everyone for your clue solving skills....Merlin and the team appreciated it....
