Whether you're a giggler, a cackler or a howler, laughter brings many benefits to your mind and body. Neuroscientist and comedian Sophie Scott has a chuckle as she explains how.

Laughter is known as the social emotion - we're 30 times more likely to laugh if there is somebody else with us than if we're on our own. And we'll laugh more if we know those people, and we'll laugh more if we like those people. Laughter also benefits our minds and our bodies, as neuroscientist and comedian Sophie Scott explains in this short - and hopefully amusing - film.
