Spy Spitfire
A rare piece of WWII history is being pieced back together. The Spy-Spitfire AA810 was designed, built and tested here in Oxfordshire. It was shot-down and the pilot, Sandy Gunn, was captured and became one of the legendary 'Great Escape' Prisoners of War.
The wreck of the Spitfire has been recovered from a Norwegian mountain and is now being restored so it can fly again. Tony Hoskins, from Henley, is in charge of the project and told us all about it.
