OJ Borg presents The Great Northern Playlist, a selection of tracks chosen by BBC Local Radio listeners and recorded by the BBC Philharmonic.
The Great Northern Playlist is made up of ten new orchestral arrangements of iconic songs from the North of England, including Tainted Love by Soft Cell and She's Electric by Oasis. The songs have been nominated by BBC Local Radio listeners and recorded remotely in lockdown by the BBC Philharmonic.OJ Borg presents performances of all these news arrangements, plus live link-ups with presenters from each of the ten local radio stations who took part including BBC Radio Manchester.
