Gender Curious

An increasing number of young people are identifying as transgender or gender nonconforming, and Hayley just can’t get her head around it! To find out more, she wants to embark on a gender-curious quest to explore what gender identity is all about. She discovers how ingrained gender stereotypes are, and how they can hold us back from being who we want to be. She learns how our obsession with gender from birth could be impacting the way we play with our children and how they develop in later life, and she challenges gender stigma by getting her male mates to try out make-up. She also discovers how playing with drag can liberate and educate, as she discovers a more masculine side, and she explores trans issues and learns the basics of what it means to be nonbinary.
