  • 2. Kakuma Refugee Camp is home to over 180,000 people. It is hot, crowded and dusty
  • 3. Kakuma’s classrooms are overcrowded and under resourced – but Yvonne was determined to succeed
  • 4. Using the books sent to her school by Book Aid International, Yvonne earned top grades
  • 5. She applied for and won a university scholarship, and now she is an inspiration to other refugee girls
