'Blood donations let my daughter live life to the full'
Marilyn’s daughter Alice was diagnosed with leukaemia and died on her 27th birthday, following two-and-a-half years of treatment.
She had 144 blood transfusions during her time in hospital which enabled her to have some form of a normal life throughout her treatment.
