Reporter’s Notebook: Mark Daly
A new BBC investigation has uncovered allegations of decades of physical cruelty and child sex abuse at a children's home in Argyll. The claims focus on the Lagarie Children's Home in Rhu, which was run by the Sailors' Society charity. BBC Scotland's Mark Daly was the lead reporter in the investigation and, as he explains in this week's Reporter's Notebook, investigative journalism can sometimes lead reporters down some very dark alleys.
