The omelette that stays fresh for a year out of the fridge
US company 915 Labs has helped develop a technology that - they say - will disrupt the convenience food industry for good. Using MATS (Microwave Assisted Thermal Sterilization) they can expose foods to high temperatures for a much shorter time than is usually the case. Their CEO Mike Locatis tells Emily Thomas why MATs treated food stays fresher and can be stored out of the fridge or freezer for up to a year.
