BBC New Comedy Award winner inspired by living with refugee
The winner of the BBC New Comedy Award 2018, Stephen Buchanan, says the refugee his "amazing" mum took in inspired his work.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live at the Edinburgh Festival, he said "it's amazing just to speak to him and see what his experiences have been."
He told Nihal Arthanayake: "None of the jokes are actually about him. I use my observations around living with him."
