From BBC Radio Berkshire to the BBC Breakfast sofa

BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin began here career here at BBC Radio Berkshire.

The Ascot school girl told Sarah Walker how she became a household name, all while representing Great Britain as a triathlete.

"I used to live in Wokingham, and I used to work for Radio Berkshire, so it feels like I'm coming home. I remember it really vividly because it was my first job as a reporter.

"Today I got up at 3.40am...

"It helps me with my life because I feel so much better, and it helps me get out and do things. I suddenly started thinking, I'm not doing any exercise and I'm not seeing any light.

"It just makes it so much easier to cope with that alarm call."
