Guardiola legacy key to Bayern ‘German’ manager criteria

Pep Guardiola’s time at Bayern Munich has heavily influenced the club’s search for new manager, German football expert Rafa Honigstein says.

Speaking on the Euro Leagues football show, Honigstein explains how Guardiola and his “foreign group” took control of vast aspects of the Bundesliga club during three seasons in charge between 2013 and 2016. Subsequently, the Bayern board are looking for a “German-speaking” manager to succeed Jupp Heynckes.
