How cheese helped a Syrian refugee start a new life
Razan Alsous fled the civil war in Syria with her husband and three young children. When they arrived in Yorkshire in the north of England, they’d lost almost everything and although Razan had a pharmacology degree, she was unable to find work. She tells Emily Thomas how starting her cheese business - Yorkshire Dama Cheese - gave her the vital life-line she needed.
