Australian tour

A Malvern musician has returned to Australia for his ninth annual tour.
Garrington T Jones is an accomplished instrumentalist, vocalist and harmonica player playing acoustic blues, folk and roots music.
He's recently released his debut album Abyssinia (which is urban slang for "I’ll be seein' ya") which was completed in the Abbey Road Vinyl Master Suite last August.

The Sunday Session: The Tympaniks

Our Sunday Session, this week, comes from Ledbury medics-come-musicians The Tympaniks.
The group formed out of a mutual appreciation for music festivals and The Smiths!
They've been our Track of the Week, here on BBC Hereford & Worcester, and are now in their third year together.

New recording studio

This afternoon, we've been recording several acts for broadcast, throughout March, at Worley's in Stourport.
The Swan has, in recent years, become better known as a music venue than its traditional roots - as a hotel.
But their latest addition is a recording studio out the back, so we've been along for a mooch!

Track of the Week: Arcadia Roots

By blending traditional African rhythms and instruments with infectious soul melodies, Arcadia Roots are creating a sound and atmosphere that defies genre.
Influenced by artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Dave Small, Maddy Abbots, Josh Terry, Danny Gauden and Tom Callinswood have recently attracted the attention of Michael Eavis, of Glastonbury fame, who joined them on stage and announced: “What a great band they are”.
"Pure energy delivered with a driving rhythm, not forgetting the homemade cigarette box guitar that had Hay rocking" - Andrew Marston.
