Undercover Hippy at the Wyeside Festival
Rootsy acoustic guitar and soulful yet percussive vocals underpin the songs, which are thoughtful and often politically driven.
His years spent MC-ing on the drum and bass circuit can still be heard in the way he paces his lyrics, although when asked, he is more likely to say his influences are Paul Simon or Tracy Chapman than any jungle MC!
Originally from Hereford, Billy is now an internationally recognised artist, with song releases in Germany and The Gambia under his belt.
Over the last few years, Billy has become a veteran of the festival scene, playing to packed crowds at festivals like Glastonbury, Beach Break Live, Nozstock and Electric Picnic in Ireland.
As well as playing with a full band, Billy also performs solo, often incorporating "live loop sampling", beat-boxing and freestyle into his much talked about live shows.
