We don't know how to coach speed in England - Pont

Former England cricketer Ian Pont says there are big problems with the way bowlers are coached in England.

England’s bowlers have struggled throughout the Ashes as Australia regained the urn on Monday with an innings-and-41-run win to take an unassailable 3-0 series lead.

“We can talk about pitches, we can talk about people being six-foot seven, we can talk about us not being strong enough,” Pont said.

“But the bottom line if you the strip all that tinsel away and you get to the bullseye - the bullseye is do we coach speed? No. Why? We don't know how to.”
