Tazmin Barnes is a 15-year-old singer/songwriter, from Worcestershire, who grew up in China.
It was there where she first started singing and modelling, including for brands such as Disney, gaining TV and radio experience.
She's performed at a variety of festivals including Upton, Livestock, Worcester Music Festival, AsparaFest, BikeFest and the Big Family Festival.
She also accompanied Chinese X Factor winner Mary-Jess Leaverland on her 2016 UK Tour and has been asked to support more shows this Christmas, including a feature on Mary-Jess' new EP.
Tazmin's debut release peaked at #16 in the iTunes pop chart back in March and it was a real pleasure to invite her to join us at the Worcester's Christmas Lights switch on in November.
"One of the most upbeat sets from a real star in the making" - Andrew Marston.

Good Vibrations

The Victorian Market attracted thousands of people to the streets of Worcester.
During the four-day event, the city's streets were filled with the smells of festive treats, tipples to try and gifts to buy. There were nearly 200 stalls with sellers all dressed up in traditional Victorian costume.
In amongst all the colourful craft stands, there was also entertainment for the shoppers; Father Christmas on stilts, the Salvation Army playing traditional carols plus a special performance in the Crowngate Shopping Centre from Good Vibrations, a unique choir that combines sign language with singing.
The group, organised by Deaf Direct, is named after some of their members - who can only experience music by feeling the vibrations it causes.
They rehearse every Tuesday evening and to find out more, visit their website.

BBC Introducing success story

Riscas have had an incredible journey and really demonstrate what BBC Introducing is all about.
They sent their music into us, here at BBC Hereford & Worcester, and we loved it so much we played it on the radio and passed it onto BBC Radio 1.
Just a couple of weeks later, their track 'Panic Like Tom' ended up on the daytime playlist, gaining support from the likes of Greg James, Alice Levine, Clara Amfo, Dev and Scott Mills, which got them to #4 on Spotify's Most Viral in the UK.
According to the official stats, that track is going up by 5,000 listens a day - mainly in London, New York, Chicago, LA and Singapore.
We catch up with the band.

Switching on the Christmas Lights

Thousands of people gathered to see the Christmas lights being switched on in Worcester, at the end of November, by BBC Hereford & Worcester - and we chose the music!
Tazmin Barnes, Chloe Elliot, KIM and JR Hopkins joined Elliott Webb, Malcolm Boyden, Pudsey and the Mayor of Worcester to officially launch the festive season, which sees many of the shops open until 8pm every Thursday night until Christmas.
All four acts performed a number of tracks they uploaded to bbc.co.uk/introhw and an 'alternative' Christmas cover as we count our way down to the big day.

Harry Styles at the BBC

In a BBC Music exclusive, Redditch-born Harry Styles performs new tracks from his number one debut album as a solo artist.
He's accompanied by his band, which includes drummer Sarah Jones - who lives at Much Birch between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye.
Nick Grimshaw talks to Harry about his extraordinary career in music to date, his future ambitions and his debut acting role in Dunkirk.

Choir money

A cheque of £20,000 has been presented to Worcester Cathedral to give the choir some extra vocal coaching.
It's thanks to the Friends of Cathedral Music and their endowment will be used to support the development and training of the girl and boy choristers, the Lay Clerks and the Choral Scholars.
We've been to find out what this means to the choir and the sound they make.
