Former Country Life Editor: In praise of the tree
The Woodland Trust is a charity that cares about trees. Their annual "Tree of the Year" competition has just come to a close, where they asked people to vote for their favourite tree in England, Scotland and Wales. The winners will be announced later in the year.
Before the competition closed, Radio 4's World Tonight programme asked Country Life magazine editor-at-large Clive Aslet to run through some of his favourite arboreal delights.
