Southampton nurse challenges perceptions of disability
A Southampton nurse is challenging perceptions of disability. Laura-Jayne Wilcock was born with amniotic band syndrome that affects her fingers and toes. Laura was inspired to become a nurse by those who cared for her when she was a child, but was told that it would be impossible. But Laura has since graduated with first-class honours from the University of Southampton, and manages an out of hours urgent care centre.
