Two Worcestershire musicians played the biggest gig of their lives on the BBC Introducing stage at the Reading Festival, last weekend.
The dual-fronted three-piece, which consists of Worcester's Tina V and Droitwich's Anya Pulver, were put forward after sending their tracks to us.
Sœur describe their music as "pop songs drenched in grunge-heavy noise, with math-rock seeping through the seams. With vocal lines that tangle and intertwine, riffs so substantial they’ve got their own post code, and a beat - provided by former Maybeshewill drummer James Collins - that ties everything down with industrial power, this is a sound of colossal proportions."

Upton Festival
Six thousand people turned out for the Upton Festival over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
This year, it featured a host of pop legends including Paul Young, Kim Wilde, Blue and Heatwave - and has been described by organisers as the best one yet.
Then, of course, there was the big clear-up operation - everything had to go and any tents left behind were donated to Oxfam, as we find out...

They formed and went on to take the world by storm with hits like Boogie Nights, The Groove Line, and Always and Forever, later writing material for Michael Jackson.

Love of the Common People, Wherever I Lay My Hat, Come Back and Stay, Everytime You Go Away and Everything Must Change are all top ten hits by Paul Young.
The 61-year-old singer, who also starred on the Band Aid single, appeared at the Upton Festival over the weekend.

They've been together as a trio since 1963, even though 15 different women have been in the band over the last five decades!
The Three Degrees were in Upton, last weekend, with Helen Scott - who's now been in the band twice!

BBC Introducing at Reading + Leeds
Historically, our Reading and Leeds line-up has been one of the strongest of all our stages throughout the festival season with acts such as Slaves, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Jack Garratt making their BBC Introducing debuts here.
The artists on this year’s Reading and Leeds line-up sent their music to us via the BBC Introducing Uploader and have been supported by their local BBC Introducing show.
A panel of respected producers and presenters from across BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music have helped build the very exciting selection of acts that performed at the event.

Lakefest Highlights: The Charlatans
It's every musicians' dream, but with more than 20 Top 40 singles under their belt, what's it like at the top?
Tonight we catch up with Tim Burgess and Mark Collins of The Charlatans, who headlined Lakefest the Saturday at Eastnor Castle.
On top of their singles' success, all of the band's 12 studio albums have charted in the Top 40; three achieving number one.
Interestingly, the band were once signed to Cooking Vinyl records - run by Peter Lawrence, who used to organise the Big Chill festival held on the same site!

Turin Brakes joined us backstage at Lakefest, near Ledbury, and even let us drink their rider!
The band, which has sold around a million records worldwide, comprise of original duo Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, and long term collaborators Rob Allum and Eddie Myer - and are also signed to Cooking Vinyl!

Elgar Birthplace Museum refurbished
It's cost hundreds of thousands of pounds and this week, the work to restore the Elgar Birthplace Museum, in Lower Broadheath near Worcester, has been finished.
The National Trust and the Elgar Foundation have been carrying out delicate conservation works.
There's now a brand new tea room, extended exhibition space and they've repaired a lot of the old cottage-style building.

BBC Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival
Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 17 September at Drummonds, as part of the Worcester Music Festival.
This annual event was first staged in 2008 by Chris Bennion, who makes Worcestershire Sauce.
He set up a website called NotJustSauce - aiming to put Worcester on the map musically.
It's been dubbed as Britain's version of SXSW in Texas!
Taking place in around multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from.
