Independent review ordered for Children's services
An independent review of children's services in Gloucestershire is to be carried out.
An independent review of children's services in Gloucestershire is to be carried out - after "serious and widespread failures" were found.
It's after an OFSTED report said children were at "risk of significant harm", because dangers were not being recognised.
Inspectors said they had 'serious concerns' about the senior management team, and standards had "deteriorated significantly".
An "extraordinary" council meeting was held yesterday - and it was agreed a review will be carried out by the Local Government Association.
