Jay & Hunter consists of Jay, who is a DJ from the underground Birmingham club scene and Hunter whose passion has always been to bring an underground vibe to the mainstream.

Jay has been brought up surrounded by music; his father being a well-known jazz singer with The Blue Notes.

He started off as a DJ on the emerging UK garage scene, shortly followed by various house venues such as Chuff Chuff and Moneypennies.

Hunter, who's from Blakedown near Kidderminster, describes himself as an art teacher with a Pro Tools addiction and love of house music.

Recently they've teamed up with Lynieve Austin from M People to produce some of their tracks.

Following on from their amazing debut in 2016, this year the organisers have delved even deeper into the wonders of the lost kingdom to bring you more stages, more activities, more music, more food choices and more magic than ever before.

Headliners include Groove Armada, Jax Jones, Artful Dodger, Hot 8 Brass Band and the Sugarhill Gang.

Redditch's Harry Styles has broken Ed Sheeran's 13-week spell at the top of the charts.

The One Direction star has achieved his first number one as a solo artist with Sign of the Times - the first release from his self-titled debut album.

His song sold 3,000 copies more than Sheeran's, with just under 40,000 downloads and 3.5 million streams, the Official Charts Company said.

Midlands Showcase
A Bromsgrove musician is being featured on various local radio stations across the Midlands this weekend after sending his music into BBC Introducing.

Sandeep Ubhi, AKA Mellow Deep, is currently producing new music for Birmingham artists such as Lady Sanity, Elektric and Synikall.

Back in February, he recorded a session for us at the Evesham Arts Centre and although you might think that this is something he does full time, he's actually a business development manager!

BBC Introducing in Bewdley

BBC Introducing in Bewdley
This month's sessions were recorded in the beautiful riverside town of Bewdley at St George's Hall.

This non-for-profit venue has exploded onto the music scene in the last couple of years and is now attracting acts from all over the world, particularly North America.

The team behind the project also run the Young Musicians showcase as well as organising the town's Hopfest.

Track of the Week

Track of the Week
It's the fifth time Malvern's Carol Lee Sampson has landed this coveted spot on BBC Hereford & Worcester; this time for her song Bigger Picture.

Carol writes songs for people around her, including a charity single for a friend who lost her battle with cancer.

She's been writing songs since she was nine years old and has produced nine albums to date.

As well as gigging occasionally, she regularly takes her guitar into dementia units and care homes saying "music is such a powerful tool, and I see it visibly having an affect on the old folks."

BBC Introducing in Redditch

BBC Introducing in Redditch
At BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester, we support the very best new music from across our region.

Since 2005,
we've broadcast nearly 1,000 sessions, helping to showcase some of our area's most talented musicians to a massive audience.

Some of our recent highlights include Leominster’s
AKA George at Glastonbury, Bromyard’s Remi Harris at the Montreal Jazz Festival and Hay-on-Wye’s Cherryshoes at T In The Park.

We’ve handpicked some of our favourite acts to join us on stage at our next big event, which takes place on Sunday 23 April at The Railway in Redditch.

These artists didn’t even know they were being considered - and we hope this inspires people to keep sending in their music, because we really do listen to everything!

Admission is free and we’d love to see you anytime between 3pm and 7pm.
