Olympic fencers set up crowdfunder after funding cut
British Fencing is looking for donations from the public to help its athletes continue to train and compete.
The governing body has set up a crowdfunder with the target of £100,000 after it lost its appeal against UK Sport funding cuts last week.
The sport received £3m for the previous four-year Olympic cycle.
Georgina Usher, a 10-time British champion and CEO of British Fencing, said: "This isn't the time to pack our swords back into our kit bags and go quietly into the night, so to speak. The fencing community will get together and we will come out fighting."
