Will Cookson is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist working loosely within the alt-folk genre.
Crafted around an intimate lyrical style, he says his songs provide a portal into the deep and intangible seas of thought, dream and imagination.
He lives at Kilpeck, between Hereford & Abergavenny, and takes inspiration from Nick Drake, Tom Waits, and Bob Dylan.
"A haunting pin-drop performance from a musician who's on the crest of a wave" - Andrew Marston.
Tributes: Pete Overend Watts

The funeral has taken place for Pete Overend Watts - the bass player of the Herefordshire band Mott The Hoople.
While the group had a huge live following, it took for the likes of David Bowie to give them their first big single.
But what Mott - and in particular Pete - gave back to Bowie was fashion.
Andrew Marston went to the service of the man who invented glam rock.
Conquest Theatre expansion

A Herefordshire theatre, that stages live music, is looking to expand after outgrowing its existing venue.
The Conquest, in Bromyard, sold 5,600 tickets last year and has just been given planning permission to build a separate performance space.
The current building, which was constructed in 1991, is now being used five days hosting gigs, films, theatre and dance.

BBC Introducing in Evesham

The venue, which has been hosting a variety of performances in their 300-seat auditorium since 1979, is run by volunteers.
During February, they're hosting a variety of folk acts and musicals along with a special guest appearance, tonight, from Toyah Willcox.
Black Sabbath's final gig

Black Sabbath, the British band credited with inventing heavy metal music, have played their last ever gig in their home city, Birmingham.
The performance, on Saturday, featured 15 songs and only one of those was released after 1972.
To look back over their career, Andrew Marston visited Somerville House in Cradley, near Malvern, which used to be the home of drummer Bill Ward.
Mental health in music

Andrew Marston: Tonight I want to talk about mental health in the music industry.
The Amy Winehouse documentary was one of the first times I thought about mental health in the context of music. Pressure from the record label, pressure from the band, pressure from her family - not to mention torrents of online abuse, mainly from people she'd never met. Since then, there have been various well-known acts who've spoken out about their own mental health.
We all love music. It runs in our blood and that's why we're here. But regardless of how much we love music, music doesn't always love us back.
70% of musicians suffer from mental health issues according to Help Musicians UK. That's compared to 25% of people, overall. Read more...
BBC Introducing in Leominster

Since 2005, we've broadcast nearly 1,000 sessions, helping to showcase some of our area's most talented musicians to a massive audience.
Some of our recent highlights include Leominster’s AKA George at Glastonbury, Bromyard’s Remi Harris at the Montreal Jazz Festival and Hay-on-Wye’s Cherryshoes at T In The Park.
We’ve handpicked some of our favourite acts to join us on stage at our next big event, which takes place on Sunday 26 February at The White Lion, Leominster.
These artists didn’t even know they were being considered - and we hope this inspires people to keep sending in their music, because we really do listen to everything!
Admission is free and we’d love to see you anytime between 6pm and 10pm.
